Clinton's Ditch Cooperative an independent, New York State Pepsi Cola manufacturer is looking to hire looking for a a Cost Accounting Manager - this position is not remote! - requires you to be onsite!
 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain standard manufacturing costs; participate in annual overhead and rate development
  • Performs cost analyses and rate studies
  • Prepare pricing updates to customers as needed
  • Set up new items to be manufactured in coordination with production needs
  • Analyze the effects of inventory transactions and develop systems to better track adjustment reasons and scrap rates.
  • Provide analysis of manufacturing variances and the month end close of financial activity and completing inventory compilation and valuation to obtain accurate inventory values and sales/ production records.
  • Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
  • Oversee procurement process for raw materials to provide accurate and timely information to A/P for vendor payment
  • Validate the cost of new products and new processes, and develop BOM and standards costs.
  • Track capital spending/ project costs and maintain fixed asset records.
  • Identify weaknesses in existing internal controls and costing system processes that have a direct or indirect effect on inventory and costs.
  • Propose changes in these processes that will result in improved efficiency and financial reporting, transactional and data accuracy.
  • Propose new internal controls that will result in improved transactional integrity.
  • Work with all levels of the company to coordinate, analyze, prepare and present data to assure profitability, including routine analysis and special project analysis.
  • Work with operations management to identify opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Drive critical initiatives and projects to help improve effectiveness and efficiency of reporting and processes, including, but not limited to, automation of journal entries, reports, etc.
  • Assist with special projects, as necessary.
  • Identify key performance indicators that are relevant and will drive profitability.

 

Education: Master’s degree in Management, Accounting or Finance.

Experience:  7 years of cost accounting experience or more

Skills/Knowledge:

  • ERP experience.
  • General understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on expertise and experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365, with an expertise in Excel with ability to perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with management and all levels of production.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
 


Salary: Flexible depending on the right candidate and experience level.
