Description

Clinton's Ditch Cooperative an Independent, New York State Pepsi Cola manufacturer is looking for a Payroll / ADP Administrator The ideal candidate will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

Payroll Processing:

  • Oversees all payroll processes for the entire company. Works closely with HR and IT to ensure weekly payroll is expertly managed across the company.
  • Responsible for processing three weekly payroll groups: Salary, Hourly, Transportation. For a total of approximately 270 employees.
  • Calculating hours paid and overtime, bonuses, inputting information into the payroll system, and generating pay statements.
  • Working knowledge of payroll-related taxes (pre-tax & post-tax) benefits & 401K matching and eligibility rules. Working knowledge of 2 Union contracts and related deductions.
  • Must be able to effectively handle employee payroll concerns, as well as external auditors, and troubleshoot by phone and remote desktop with ADP support.
  • Maintains and secures timesheets, payroll records, and other payroll-related documentation.
  • Ability to research payroll issues independently and provide solutions for final resolution.
  • Ensures Company’s payroll practices are compliant with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources on garnishments, leave administration and benefits enrollment.
  • Prepare and lead the company through end-of-year payroll processes.

Expert Application Knowledge

  • Maintain and expand expert-level knowledge of all aspects of ADP with emphasis on Payroll and Enhanced Time & Attendance
  • Own escalated technical support requests.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to learn quickly are vital.

 

Process Improvement

  • Document key business processes and develops work instructions for users.
  • Work with HR to identify opportunities to improve business processes and then drive process improvements.
  • Maintain strong connections with peers outside Clinton’s Ditch to understand trends and best practices.

 

Updates/Upgrades

  • Stay abreast of upcoming ADP changes.
  • Manage all aspects of updates/upgrades including staging, testing, and performance.
  • The document, communicate and educate staff regarding the process and system changes.

 

Native Reporting

  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in ADP.
  • Complete ad-hoc decision support requests.
  • Distribute standard reports and provide ad hoc reporting as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience as an ADP Workforce Now administrator.
  • 5 years of experience supporting payroll processing in ADP for a multi-company, 200+ staff environment.
  • 2-3 years of processing payroll in a union environment
  • 5 years of experience working with ADP’s Payroll and Enhanced Time & Attendance modules

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Practical Human Resources experience preferably related to payroll and benefits.
  • ADP Certified Payroll Specialist certification

Experience:

  • ADP Workforce Now administration: 5-8 years (Preferred)
  • payroll processing in ADP: 5-8  years (Preferred)
